Whiff of Joy Anniversary Blog Hop - Guest Designer Call

I found a challenge on http://katharina1704.blogspot.com/. I just LOVE the Whiff of Joy Stamps. As some of you know I just got into all this craft stuff, and I must say Whiff of Joy is just Amazing!!! There are some great rewards to be won in this challenge.

Here is the sketch:

Here is my card.....

My friend is having a baby boy in a couple of weeks, so I thought that this would be the perfect way to do a challenge and have a card to give away. Thank you so much for the chance to show off some of my love for the craft.

Creative Cuts & More Guest Design Team Call

I came across the Creative Cuts & More guest design team call. (http://die-cut-diva.blogspot.com/2009/06/looking-for-guest-designers.html) I thought that I might just submit these two projects and see what happens. I mean we all have to start some where right? I wish I would have found this site sooner.

Both are projects that I made at Your Creative Oasis with Joey. The first is a box with drawers, and I put a couple of tabs inside the drawers. I think I might make these as gifts for my hostesses.
The second is a cute card that I made. You can put a little note inside the little envelope. I just loved it.

Thanks,
Maxine

SVGcuts Challenge

Here is my card submission for the SVGcuts.com challenge. We had to use at least one svg from their website and use a Summer theme. All the svgs I used were from their website, and I think it came out good.

Thanks for looking,

Cupcake Challenge 45/CCB08

Hi,

OK, so I was running by a couple of websites and I came across Lacey's blog. She always has such amazing stuff on her blog. I emailed her to let her know how inspired I am every time I go to her website and she gave me some tips. The first part of her advice that I decided to take was to enter some challenges. I didn't know if I had what it takes for challenges yet, but I thought it could be a learning experience.

I looked at some of the websites that I had been following and I found another blog having a challenge ending at the end of the month. I thought that I had enough time to get something done so I gave it a shot.

I also entered this in the CCB08 Challenge.
This is what I came up with......

My daughter helped me out with this. I was so nervous, which is weird considering no one was looking over my shoulder. I kept second guessing myself on everything. Is this what people always go through during the challenges, or is it always the first one that gets the butterflies out?

I couldn't decide on some of the things, and my daughter seemed to have all the right answers. For example, I was going to leave the wings just plain old pink and blue, but she said "Mommy if they have wings then they have to be glittered with magic". I couldn't decide on a background color, so she said "Mommy just use them all". I couldn't decide on what phrase if any to use, and she said "Mommy we don't know if their mommy and daddy so they should just be friends". I couldn't go wrong with "you make me smile". She is such a great helper!

This is my first challenge, and can't wait to see what you guys think.

Thanks for looking,
Maxine

My Samples

Here is a Quinceanera card I made.

These are the first cards I made at Your Creative Oasis with Joey. I learned so much my first day. I learned how to emboss (the "you rock" card), I used water colors for the first time (the "bee" card), I did multiple colored markers for one stamp, (the "cupcake" card), I used the Big Shot for the first time (the "thank you" card), I inked the edge of the card to give it some dimension (the "clock" card), I used chipboard and cardstock to create the "bird box". I joined Stampin Up! after that, because I just fell in love with everything they had.
There's more to come. I hope you enjoyed these.
