Back to School Apples

Here are 2 apples I made using an SVG file I got from SVG Cuts. They were really easy to make as usual, and I put 4 small Yankee candles in them. I usually don't give the traditional apples on the first day, so this is a nice spin to a traditional thing.

Here is the outside of the apples:

If you would like to order some for  back to school, please let me know!

Wags 'n Whiskers & Delightful Sketches Challenges

The challenge over at Wags 'n Whiskers is to try a new technique, and the challenge over at Delightful Sketches is to use the theme Dog Days of Summer (or just Summer colors).

Here is my card:

Here is the finished inside:

The technique I used was double embossing. I messed it up the first time, but got the hang of it the second time around. What you basically do is use cardboard on your embossing folder to have a shape that isn't embossed while the rest of the cardstock is embossed. I used the ball ribbon around the shape to give it more definition, and I used the pink circle paper to go with the ribbon on the front of the card.

Thank you,
Maxine

TGF & Craft Your Days Away Challenges

The Challenge over at The Greeting Farm was to use your dies or punches. The Challenge over at Craft Your Days Away was to use Grey and one other color.

Here is my card:

Here is the finished inside:

I tried to stick to the Grey and Brown theme, although I did use tan for the skin. I colored the flowers with Copic markers to make them match with the rest of the card. I used my Star die and glued some ribbon to the back of it, which I think gave it a different look rather than a plain one. For the boots on the top, I used charms that I had gotten a while back from Stamp and Create. I just had to cut the tops off so that they could be button looking instead of charm looking. I finished up the inside of the card, because I think that a card always looks better with a finished inside.

Thanks,
Maxine

Card for 3 Challenges

Here is a card that I made for the Kraftin' Kimmie Challenge (we had to use stitches), CMC Copic Challenge (must be Girly), and Mojo Monday Challenge (use their sketch).

Here is the Sketch we had to use:

Here is my card:

Here is the finished inside:

I had fun making the stitches, and it did this weird thing on the two top corners, so I just clipped the corners to make it fit with the stitching. I had fun with the coloring, and the over making of this card.

Thanks,
Maxine

TGF Challenge

Here is my card for the challenge over at The Greeting Farm. The theme for their challenge was Summer.

Here is my card:

Here is the finished inside:

I have tons of their stamps, but once again I haven't been using much of anything. I'm getting back into it though, so I plan on entering many more challenges and create many more crafty things.

Thanks,
Maxine

Delightful Sketches Challenge

Here is a card that I made for the challenge over at Delightful Sketches. The theme was Christmas in July.

Here is my card:

Here is the finished inside:

This is a really simple card, and I really enjoyed coloring the little elf. I have a few of the digital stamps, but never got around to using any of them. They are easy to color and there are so many different ways to color them.

Thank you,
Maxine

Tea for Two

I created these for an upcoming "Back to School" event. I'm going to put candy and other goodies inside the Teapots and then the person/persons can give them to a teacher or someone of their choice. I got the Teapot designs from SVG cuts, and it is called Tea for You and Me. Both the stamps I used are Kraftin' Kimmie's stamps, but I don't remember the release name. I know there was a collection of tea stamps though and I hadn't found a reason to use them.

This is my first set, which I am entering in Craft Your Days Away (we had to use dollies and lace) and I used the sketch over at Mojo Monday

Here is my set:

Here is a close up of the card:

Here is my second set, which I am submitting to Delightful Sketches (we had to use Bling and Bows). I used the same sketch from Mojo Monday

Here is the set:

Here is a close up of the card:

Here is the finished inside of the card:

I completely forgot the sentiment on the yellow circle, but I figured whoever wins the set can put whatever they'd like in there.

Thanks,
Maxine

Red, White and Blue Challenge

Over at Wags 'n Whiskers we had to use Red, White and Blue for the challenge. I still haven't gotten my "mojo" back, so the card is very simple to say the least.

Here is my card:

Here is the finished inside:

I had fun being a bit creative again, and look forward to many more challenges.

Thanks,
Maxine

Pink Lemonade Challenge

For the Challenge over at The Greeting Farm, we had to use Pink and Yellow.

Here is my card:

The coloring on this card took me the longest. I also wanted to add glitter to the letters and the image to add a little extra to the card.

Thanks,
Maxine

High Hopes Challenge

For the High Hopes Challenge, we had a sketch to use.
Here is that sketch:

 Here is my card:

It is never too early to start on Christmas cards, and this sketch gave me the perfect layout for it. I try to make sure that all of my cards are finished inside as well.

Thanks,

Getting back to it

I've been away from blogging and crafting for a while now. There has been so much going on that I just stopped crafting all together, which I didn't want to do. I really miss being creative and taking part in challenges, which is why I decided to get back into the crafting world.
Here is my first card, not my best work, but it's a start. I'm entering it in the Mojo Monday Challenge (we had to use a sketch) and the Kraftin' Kimmie Challenge (we had to use lots of dots).

Here is the sketch:

Here is my card:

I know I need more work to try and get to the level I left off, but I'm going to try and get back into the groove of things.

Thanks,
Maxine Rebeles
