My new blog name and store name will be "Hermanas Bowtique". Roberta, aka Berdie, will handle most if not all the business in Laredo as she has been doing, and I will continue to do my best to meet the orders here in Florida and everywhere else. Help Save Cross Country Running in Duval Public Schools!

Please join 1st Place Sports in our campaign to try and save cross country in Duval Country public high schools. Due to cuts in education spending by our state, the Duval County School Board has decided to cut cross country and several other sports from their budget. This means 17 high schools in Duval County will no longer have cross country teams. We need to raise $70,000 by July 1st to save these programs. The money we raise would go directly to coaching stipends.

1st Place Sports is donating $10,000 to get the campaign started. We will also be donating $5 for every shoe we sell in our four stores during the month of June. Jacksonville is such a great running town. It would be a shame for us to allow cross country to disappear from our public schools. We ask you to join us in this fight. A donation of $5 to $10 would go along way in helping us reach our goal. If you need new shoes soon, then try to purchase them in June to help raise money for the cross country programs.

Donations by check can be made payable to 1st Place Sports Running Club, 3931 Baymeadows Road, Jacksonville, FL 32217 or you can donate on-line. Online donations will be charged a server and process fee, so we encourage you to pay by check for larger donations. We are using the 1st Place Sports Running Club, a 501(c)3 organization (your donations are tax deductible) this year since time is of the essence. We will be setting up a Foundation to support the cross country teams for future years.

My "Black Friday Special"

As some of you may know, I make and sell bows. Well, I've decided to have my own little "Black Friday" event. It will be Buy one and get one of equal or lesser value 1/2 off! It's a great time to stock up and save. Just email me or phone in your orders. It's that simple, and you won't even have the headaches of standing in those long lines!

Another thing that I'll be doing is giving away a $50 gift certificate to the person who has the most people sign up for my blog or my Facebook page: Mi Pedaso de Cielo. Just tell them to give me your name when they sign up.

Royal Blog Tour Bella Toile

Welcome to my part of the Royal Blog Tour. I hope you are having an enchanting time traveling from castle to castle. I used Bella Toile for all of my projects, so please enjoy and feel free to leave a comment!

This is a very simple box I made for little Christmas goodies. I plan on giving these to my nieces and nephews.

This is a pillow box that I embossed with Silver embossing powder. These are easy to make and would make great little gifts for the kids in my daughter's class.

Here is one of my Christmas cards for this year. I embossed this one with Gold embossing powder.

This is the only one without a Christmas theme, but I couldn't resist using my favorite color combo!

So there you have it. I hope that you enjoyed my simple projects for the Christmas holiday.

Candy Cans

Here are 3 out of the 6 colors I used for my nephews candy cans. His Birthday party theme is "Zombies".

All of them are embossed with different textures, and they were sponged in either red or black ink. They also have either a worm cone, eyepop, boogy burger, or foot pop on them. I wanted to make sure that no two cans were the same so that the kids could tell whose was whose. It took me longer this time to make them all, since now I can't just craft my time away. I think they came out pretty good, and I hope the kids love them.
